Since first invited to film and photograph a nine-day hiking trip in 2016,
Cullan McNamara has been hooked on capturing landscapes,
travel experiences, and meaningful moments in people’s lives.
the beginning
“It all started when I began filming my high school’s football games. Coincidentally, the first year I created highlight videos for the games was the first year we made it to the playoffs. That meant I was able to document an emotionally resonant time in many people’s lives; the players, coaches, and families couldn’t get enough.
“Once I realized I could impact people with my creativity, I was hooked.”
traveling for work
“After filming a wedding in 2016, I met the brother of the bride at an after-party bonfire. He asked me to film his nine-day hiking trip in Colorado. Like any sane human, I accepted without hesitation and found myself summiting Mt. Elbert months later.”
Cullan is from Van Buren Township, Michigan and has a passion for travel and the outdoors.
Based in Galway, Ireland from August 2018 to July 2019.
Currently based in Denver, Colorado 📍
